Apply These 10 Secret Techniques To Improve Red And Irritating Skin

The summer is nearing closer, which means many of us will be taking the annual family trek to the beach, playing in the water and laying on the sand, soaking in all the rays. It can feel in an open area like there is nothing you can do to protect yourselves, but there are many precautions you can take in order to prevent getting burnt. But before then, there are many things that can cause red skin and irritation of your face. Here are the causes of red and irritating skin.

**Shaving Causes of Irritated Skin

Men who shave their faces daily subject themselves to razor burns and bumps. If they are not careful, these problems can become chronic. Chronic inflammation is one of the causes of cellular aging. If you're like most people, you want to avoid that.

**Sun Causes Skin Redness

Exposure to the sun is an obvious cause of redness. But you may not always be aware of how much sun you are getting.

There are two types of sunlight; visible and invisible. Invisible or UV rays can cause burning and other types of damage even on a cloudy day.

Dermatologists estimate that people get 50% of their UV exposure (another cause of cellular aging) on overcast days.

**Allergic Reactions Cause Skin Redness

Allergic reactions cause red skin. Determining what allergen caused the problem can be difficult. Even hypo-allergenic skin care products can cause allergic reactions. They are just less allergenic than the company's regular products.

Usually, itching is present in an allergic reaction. If that symptom is absent, you likely have a different problem.

**Rosacea - Chronic Redness

Rosacea is a kind of chronic reddening that usually affects the cheeks, chin, and nose. In some cases, redness is present on the neck and chest, too. The underlying cause of rosacea is unknown. Heredity and inflammation are two factors that probably contribute.

If bumps or pimples are present, the problem could be acne. Acne rosacea is a term used to describe rosacea accompanied by frequent breakouts.

**Bad Product Ingredients.

The cleansers and other products commonly used to treat acne can cause irritated facial skin. Prescription retinoids are especially likely to cause redness and irritation. They are prescribed to treat acne and wrinkles, even though the conditions may seem totally different.

The faces of skiers and boaters can be reddened by the wind and by reflection. Anyone that spends time on the water or the snow should be aware that both of those things intensify the sun's heat by reflecting it. They should also be aware of wind damage.

**Aging Process Cause

In some cases, small blood vessels are present near the skin's surface. These may be visible throughout a person's life or appear only as a part of the aging process due to collagen loss. Collagen loss makes the skin's layers more translucent.

Despite all of these different causes of red skin, there is one underlying factor that is almost always present. That factor is inflammation.

Inflammation is an essential function of the body's immune system, but it can also be damaging. Inflammatory molecules can degrade the skin's elastic collagen fibers, which is a cause of age-related sagging.

Even the appearance of small blood vessels could be due to inflammation. It is almost certainly due to the aging process.

There are some things you can do to heal the inflammation and heal irritated facial skin.

Staying indoors between the hours of 10 a.m. and 2 p.m., when the sun is at its brightest, is another possible move.

8 Amazing Remedies For Rough and Dry Hand Hacks

Your hands are some of the essential parts of your body. They are very useful in almost daily routine every single day of your life. Taking care of your hands should form part of your skin care regimen. Left unattended, they begin to develop dryness. It may also lead to the ugly chapped look and, perhaps, other more serious skin conditions.

In today's business etiquette, hands are essential in establishing and nurturing lasting acquaintance and relations. You use your hands in making handshakes which, to most, speak a great deal about yourself.

The natural aging process and a wide variety of environmental factors and unhealthy lifestyles contribute to the onset of dry skin. These combine a series of processes that lead to the gradual loss of collagen and the diminished ability of the skin to retain moisture. Extended exposure to direct rays of the sun also results in rapid water loss through evaporation.

Many household items also contribute to the development of dry skin, especially those found on your hands. Hand wash and detergents containing harmful compounds irritate and further damage the skin layer.

Other factors that affecting the skin dryness include chemical, soap, dry air, medical skin conditions, allergens, and certain medications,

Here are some tips on how to take care of very dry hands.

1.     Wash hands frequently. Washing your hands often keeps your hand skin moist. The cooling effect also enhances the water holding capacity of the skin on your hands. Aside from this, washing removes a lot of germs and dirt on the skin layers. Remember that the stratum corneum, the uppermost layer of your skin, is made of keratin and dead skin cells. When left dirty, bacteria and other microorganisms may find it ideal to live and feed on them. Do not overdo hand washing though. Experts suggest that you sing "Happy Birthday" while washing. The song's duration is regarded as normal and sufficient.

2.     Avoid products with harsh chemicals. Many products readily available in the market contain a lot of chemicals and other compounds found harmful on the skin. Some of them are actually cancer-causing.  These chemicals also react with the naturally occurring elements and substances in the body which provides the ideal condition for the formation of free radicals. These molecules damage the cells by making them unstable after stealing an electron from each. Check out the labels and list of ingredients used. Watch out for retinoid and alpha hydroxyl acids. These are harsh on the skin, causing it get irritated. Alcohol and fragrances are also other harmful substances found in many moisturizers.

3.     Use gentle and natural moisturizers only.   These products contain natural ingredients formulated to improve the skin condition. They are effective remedies to counter substantial water loss on the skin surface. Make sure they contain only natural essential oils and plant extracts. These also prevent the skin from prematurely developing wrinkles and chapping by boosting collagen levels on the skin.

4.        Exfoliate. We have learned to exfoliate our faces, but we often neglect our hands. Yet the skin on the hands—especially on the back of them—is thin, fragile, and even more susceptible to damage than some areas of the face. If you’re severely dry and calloused, try a pumice stone after bathing. You can also put about 1-2 tablespoons of sugar in your hands, add some olive oil, and rub both the front and back of your hands to loosen up that dry, dull skin. Use 1-4 times a week, depending on your skin’s needs, and always apply a moisturizing lotion immediately afterward.

5.     Select which suits your skin type. Different skin types require different formulations of skin care creams. If you are not sure which skin type you have, choose the one suited for sensitive skin.

6.     Use humidifiers. Plug it on, if you have one. The humidifier increases moisture content in the air and keeps your skin moist and cool.

7.     Be careful with what you wear. Avoid wearing fabrics made of wool and other rough materials. They trap heat inside. However, during winter, you really need to wear gloves to keep your skin dry. Remember that cold air also contributes to the drying of the skin.

 8.     Pure coconut oil. This stuff is right for skin because of its unique combination of fatty acids. Apply it directly onto skin and wear gloves for the best results.

These are just some of the effective ways of improving your dry skin condition. The ultimate solution still remains in you. It is your dedication and diligence in taking care of your hands to keep them from drying.

15 Tips Apply To Avoid Dry Skin Condition During Winter

The dry skin condition is the one thing you should avoid if you want to have young and healthy skin. It has been proven that people who have excessively dry dermis condition are the ones who usually experience premature wrinkles and saggy dermis. When the skin fails to lock in moisture, the skin tissues are not properly hydrated. As a result, they get damaged quite easily.

Winter is the worst season for the skin. This is often the time when the frigid weather strips away the natural lipid layers of the dermis. There are many ways for you to avoid dry skin condition during the winter season. The following are some effective tips you should try:

Tip 1: Always bring an appropriate moisturizer. First, your moisturizer should be loaded with beneficial ingredients that can really correct damaged skin tissues. Look for the ingredients CynergyTK, Phytessence Wakame and Manuka Honey.

CynergyTK is a compound extracted from the wool of sheep. What makes this vital to our skin is its functional keratin component. Keratin is the same type of complex protein that helps our skin in regenerating more collagen and elastin. This will help keep our skin elastic and firm. Phytessence Wakame is a type of seaweed found in the coastal areas of Japan. Other than a local sushi ingredient, this is also often used as a facial mask. It can actually hamper the loss of hyaluronic acid, the acid that supplies moisture to collagen proteins. Manuka honey is one of the best moisturizers. Since antiquity, it is often used as the treatment for dry skin and many other dermis diseases.

Tip 2: Shorten your bathing time and do not use hot water. Exposure to too much water can also strip away the lipids on the surface of your skin. The sebaceous gland will also detect an abundant amount of water as you bathe. As a result, it stops producing essential oil. This will temporarily cause dry dermis condition. Just use warm water when bathing in order to lock in moisture.

Tip 3: Exfoliate at least 3 times a week. During this time, your body turns over dead skin cells more. Since you do not sweat, these dead skin cells are a little difficult to get rid of. Exfoliate in order to prevent the accumulation of cells.

Use a mild exfoliant. Brown sugar mixed with honey or lemon juice can help soften and hydrate the skin.

Tip 4: The most important thing to keep in mind is that dry skin needs water, not oil. Oil or lotions may remove the appearance of the dry skin but does not solve the problem at all. You need to drink lots of water during winter because it acts as the body's purifier and freshener. Water is the best answer to have that glowing and healthy skin.

Tip 5: Another thing to do is to eat healthy foods; eating healthy foods results in healthy skin. What you eat will show on your skin; so if you eat fatty foods, then your skin will become oily, but if you eat healthy foods like fruits and vegetables, your skin will be healthy and glowing. Also, keep your face clean when going to bed. Before going to sleep, wash off your make up and put on your moisturizer. Treat your face gently and with care.

Tip 6: It is right to put off any form of stresses if not they will show on your face and skin. Try to relax and just enjoy life. Thinking too much about your problems will only put a couple wrinkles on your skin. Take things lightly. These are just a few tips to have a healthy skin all year round.

Tip 7: Avoid using soaps because if you do, your skin may become dry because soaps are alkaline. Instead, use moisturizing cleansers which keep the skin soft and supple. Glycerin-based soaps are good for winter season.

Tip 8: Install a dehumidifier in your room. This will keep your skin soft, dewy and supply all the time. That way, you can combat dry skin and skin aging problems even if you are sleeping or just lounging in your room.

Tip 9: Use a hydrating and anti-aging moisturizer twice a day. The best time to apply your moisturizer is after washing your skin, while your pores are still open. Pat your skin dry and massage the moisturizer into your dermis gently in a circular motion.

Tip 10: Avoid beverages and alcohol intake because
drinking coffee and alcohol in winter is not conducive to good health.  The body tends to lose water. This may cause your skin to dry and get chapped.

Tip11: Take pearl powder supplements, according to experts, this natural treatment can help minimize sun damage. Pearl powder can make your skin less vulnerable to UV rays. It is also capable of preserving the elastic and youthful structure of the dermis. You might want to purchase these supplements in the healthcare market.

Tip12: Also, always remember safe skin care requires that toxic free skin care products be used on the skin, the largest organ of the body. Keep in mind that over 70% of what is placed on the skin will penetrate the body and end up in the bloodstream. Many of these toxic ingredients have now been determined to cause cancer, respiratory problems, and even birth defects, just to name a few. Read labels and research the ingredients.

Tip 13: Use clothes appropriate for the season, so your clothes serve as your protection against external aging causes. Choose comfort and style. Uncomfortable clothes and shoes can damage your skin.

Tip 14: Also minimize the hair dryers usage, if your hair is already thin, weak and dry it is better to avoid the usage of Hair dryers. Switch to the cool drying option if you have to attend any occasion urgently and could not manage your wet hair.

Tip 15: Always using lip balm and Vaseline to smooth heels. Lips are subject to a lot of dryness and cracks in the winter season. Top 20 Tips To Get Healthy And Glowing Skin Quickly

The healthy, clear and glowing skin is one of the major elements of the beauty of a person. To get radiant glowing skin is very easy. You just follow some simple top tips at home and you will get the desired skin.

1. Take A Balanced And Healthy Diet
Consuming enough amounts of fresh fruits, vegetables and fishes will treat your skin effectively, making shining and pretty.

2. Cleanse
Basically, clean skin means beautiful skin. Keeping your skin cleansed of dirt, sweat, and oil is really important because this helps to prevent a dull appearance and clogged pores. You just use a gentle cleanser to wash your face every morning and night. Later take a quick sweep with a toner on one cotton pad.

3. Wash The Face Before Sleeping
Your face receives dirt, sweating, oil, and other impurities throughout the day. So, it is important to remove all the makeup prior to going to bed. Washing prevents the face from growing acne. Cleansing prevents the pores from breaking out and obstructs the bacteria from the bedding.

4. Consider Taking a Probiotic
According to Mendez, probiotics supplements, which promote the growth of beneficial bacteria, go beyond improving digestion. “They absorb toxins in the gut and help to move them out of your body so that their impact doesn’t show up on your skin.”

5. Get to Know Omega-3s
Despite common misconceptions, not all fats are bad for you. Omega-3 fats, found in wild salmon, walnuts, and flaxseed oil, nourish and hydrate the skin, Mendez promotes. They also reduce signs of aging.

6. Load Up on Green Juice
“This is one of the most important things you can consume to help improve the quality and look of your skin,” she says. “You want to make sure it's mostly vegetables with just a little fruit to help with flavor.” She recommends including cucumbers, which are great for under-eye puffiness, as well as kale, a powerful antioxidant. Throw in a lemon or lime for hydration and ginger as an anti-inflammatory.

7. Stay Away from Sugar
Want super smooth skin? You'll have to keep your sweet tooth in check. “Sugar is a pro-inflammatory which can lead to signs of premature aging,” she adds. “It also disrupts hormonal balance which can aggravate acne.”

8. Stick to products meant for your skin
The internet can give out weird and wonderful information, but not all of it is accurate. Be aware that not everything you read will work. A common mistake is using toothpaste on spots - toothpaste is meant for your teeth which are one of the hardest surfaces in your body. Using a product on your skin which is actually intended for the teeth will damage your skin and cause it to completely dry out.

9. Multi-task
Looking after your skin doesn't have to stop at home, neither carry a multi-tasking quick-fix with you in your handbag for the dewy skin on the go. A water spray can be used to cool and calm even the most sensitive complexions. Not only does it tone the skin, but it can also be used to set makeup and refresh skin on a hot day, as well as soothing and softening skin on the go.

10. Wear SPF throughout the year
It's easy to assume that just because the sun isn't out, you don't need to use a product with SPF in it. But UVA rays are constantly present, no matter the season or the weather and these are the ones that cause the skin to age because they are able to penetrate much deeper into the surface of the skin, damaging the cells beneath.

11. Drink lots of water
Every system and function in our body depends on water. Skin is no different. Dry skin has less resilience and is more prone to wrinkling, so ensure you take in enough water to reach your skin and keep it hydrated. Two to three litres a day is usually about right.

12. Eat more nuts
They are a barrier against aging because they contain a lot of vitamin E and linoleic acid (especially almonds).
Almonds are very rich in vitamin E, which has a similar effect as antioxidants. It fights against free radicals that make the skin aging and also keeps the skin hydrated for longer.
Walnuts are rich in nutrients such as omega-3 fatty acids and vitamin E. Eating mote nuts will provide with smoother skin, strong hair and healthy bones.

13.  Selenium-containing products
Selenium is also a powerful antioxidant and, in combination with vitamin E, has an excellent effect on acne.
A Swedish study shows that if you are taking selenium and vitamin E for 12 to 14 weeks, the skin is significantly less prone to acne breakouts. Wheat germ, tuna, salmon, garlic, and eggs are richest in selenium.

14. Watch Your Caffeine Intake
Those mid-day coffee breaks could be drying you out. Be mindful of your intake, Mendez warns. “Caffeine can be very dehydrating, so consume in moderation."

15. Stay Away from Sugar
Want super smooth skin? You'll have to keep your sweet tooth in check. “Sugar is a pro-inflammatory which can lead to signs of premature aging,” she adds. “It also disrupts hormonal balance which can aggravate acne.”

16. Use Natural Products
Nowadays, most people resort to using scrubs and face packs available on the market. I suggest that we should go natural because who knows what harmful ingredients are present in the products available in the market. There are many ways to make homemade face packs and scrubs.

17. Meditate
Meditation is the key to a healthy skin. Meditation calms our body and helps us de-stress. Stress creates a havoc on our skin and so one should stay away from stress and the best way to do is meditate.

18. Exercise
Exercising gives a natural glow to the skin. So, you should indulge in some physical activities to keep your skin healthy.

19.  Exfoliate weekly.
Exfoliation is key to beautiful, radiant skin. The best way to exfoliate naturally at home is to take one tablespoon of raw organic coconut oil and mix it with one teaspoon of cane sugar. Gently apply to face and neck in circular motions and rinse with warm water.
I recommend doing this in the shower one-to-two times per week to help maintain your skin in between professional treatments.

20.   Apply a nighttime mask.

Our skin does the most healing while we sleep, so this is the very best time to give your face (and body!) some extra help. My advice is to apply a thin layer of their favorite hydrating mask over their evening moisturizer. This is especially helpful while traveling when skin can become extra dry or irritated. One of my favorite DIY masks only requires one avocado, ripe avocado. Take an avocado, and mash it into a pulp. Spread evenly on your face and let sit for at least five-to-ten minutes. When you want to remove the mask, gently wipe your face with a warm, wet cloth.

13 Best Foods for Healthy Skin

While genetics play a major role in skin health, eating the right foods can also help you look younger, fight acne, and reduce the appearance of wrinkles. More than 20 percent of women suffer from acne in their 20s and 30s. Aside from antibiotics and over-the-counter treatments, there are a number of foods that can help you prevent and treat skin problems. Making certain diet changes can slow the aging process and give you a healthy, glowing complexion. Here are thirteen best foods for healthy skin:

Red Grapes

The studies have shown that red grapes contain antioxidants and other natural substances that treat inflammatory skin conditions such as eczema and psoriasis. These fruits also contain resveratrol, a substance that is commonly used in sunscreen lotions. Resveratrol kills cancerous cells, slows down the aging process, and neutralizes free radicals.

Tropical Fruit

Tropical fruits are rich in vitamin C and antioxidants. Your diet should include kiwi, papaya, mango, pineapple, and guava. The nutrients in these foods stimulate collagen production and help the body fight against free radical damage. Due to their high content of vitamins and minerals, tropical fruits also strengthen the immune system and prevent heart disease, lung disease, arthritis, cold, and flu.

Olive Oil

Olive oil is one of the best sources of essential fatty acids. Good fats increase skin elasticity and strengthen cell membranes, helping your skin look radiant and nourished. Olive oil is rich in antioxidants and has anti-inflammatory properties. You can apply olive directly to your skin, prepare a moisturizing face mask, or exfoliate your skin with olive oil and sea salt. Adding olive oil to your daily meals will improve the appearance of your skin.

Yogurt

Yogurt contains large amounts of vitamin A, which is beneficial for your skin. By including yogurt in your daily diet, you will be consuming lots of vitamins and protein. This food keeps skin glowing and removes excess sebum. It also helps in treating acne, reduces skin discoloration, and prevents premature aging.

Broccoli

This cruciferous veggie is an excellent source of antioxidants. It contains vitamin E, which protects the skin against UV radiation damage. Broccoli is also rich in vitamin C. This nutrient keeps your skin healthy and boosts your immune system. Researchers have found that broccoli is one of the best sources of calcium, iron, vitamin A, and vitamin K. These natural substances stimulate the growth of new skin cells and revitalize skin tissues. They also help in treating boils, eczema, rashes, and skin hardening.

Avocados

This amazing fruit is packed full of vitamins and all the "right" kinds of oils to keep your skin moisturized. It also is high in antioxidants and helps fight sun damage.

  Fish

Fish such as tuna, mackerel, sardines, salmon is full of omega 3 essential fatty acids. If you can't stand fish (like me) then take a fish oil supplement. You will see a difference in your skin after about 6 weeks.

Macadamia Nuts

These guys are great for your skin and they taste great too. Just a handful once or twice a week will add important minerals that your skin can use in collagen production.

Japanese Sea Kelp

Japanese women have been using this for centuries to obtain their creamy skin tone. I don't like the taste of sea kelp so I use a moisturizer that contains Phytessence Wakame which is derived from this important sea kelp. A moisturizer with this ingredient will stimulate the hyaluronic acid in your skin and be the best skin hydration you have ever used.

Blueberries

Actually, most berries will fall under this category, but blueberries and strawberries are the best. They are high in antioxidants and will help collagen production in your skin.

Green Tea

Green tea contains polyphenols that offer anti-inflammatory properties that provide benefits to skin health.
Aside from these foods, our skin also requires other nutrients, mainly to protect it from damages caused by aging. Consuming food for healthy skin should be only one part of your skin care regimen, you need a natural skin care product that contains effective ingredients that will moisturize it.

Safe and effective topical creams

While food for healthy skin will be an important part of our skincare regime, we also need to look at what sort of topical creams we put on the largest organ of our bodies. Given that there is no regulation, this is even more important to keep ourselves healthy and our skin glowing.

Water

This is listed first on some websites and last on others, but everyone agrees that keeping your body hydrated through drinking water is very important to keep your skin hydrated.
Water helps in flushing out unwanted substances and toxins, which are the primary cause of problems with your skin. Many people, if not most people, do not keep themselves hydrated as they should and this definitely influences overall health and skin health.

9 Mesmerizing Examples Of Astaxanthin Skin Benefits

Astaxanthin has rapidly established itself as a contender for the next must-have health supplement, with multiple recent clinical trials indicating its effectiveness in slowing down the signs of aging and supporting health maintenance. Labelled as a 'super-antioxidant', Astaxanthin has been shown to provide support for many conditions associated with aging.

The Super-Anti-Oxidant

Research indicates that astaxanthin's antioxidant properties are far superior to other carotenoids such as beta-carotene, lycopene, and lutein, as well as vitamin E., In fact, the claims get even more impressive when compared to some of the other more established health supplements. Astaxanthin is reported to be:

800 x more powerful than COQ10
550 x more powerful than Green Tea Catechins
75 x more powerful than Alpha-Lipoic Acid
6000 x more powerful than Vitamin C

As it is a 'pure anti-oxidant' with an ability to cross the blood barrier astaxanthin can act quickly and effectively to provide support for a number of core bodily functions.

Dementia

Research in Japan (referenced in the British Journal of Nutrition) established that astaxanthin may lower the build-up of compounds known as 'phospholipid hydroperoxides' (PLOOH), which have been shown to build up abnormally in the red blood cells of patients with dementia.

Through the period of the study of 30 healthy volunteers aged 50-69 years old, PLOOH levels dropped by 40% and 50% with 6 and 12mg daily doses of astaxanthin respectively. In comparison, no difference was noted when a placebo was used. These results led to the report concluding that astaxanthin "may contribute to the prevention of dementia".

 Joint well being

And as I already touched on, astaxanthin really helps to improve joint health, by reducing inflammation and pain caused by free radicals and protecting your joints.

Astaxanthin strengthens your overall immunity so you are better able to resist disease and illness.

Astaxanthin is fat soluble and best absorbed with healthy fats.

Energy boosting

As for energy boosting, astaxanthin has been shown to have a positive impact on mitochondria, the cellular energy centers that produce energy.
Astaxanthin has also been found to improve strength and stamina, and to speed muscle recovery time after exercise.
It has become popular among athletes for this reason and they believe it enhances performance, as well.

Reduced inflammation.

If you have an infection your body's responds by using inflammation as the instrument to restore the injured tissue. Another form is chronic inflammation, this is far more serious.

Some of the health conditions associated with chronic inflammation are arthritis, asthma, strokes, ulcers, Alzheimer's and much more. The prescription drugs used to treat these conditions have major and frequently alarming side effects.

When you compare astaxanthin to the standard anti-inflammatory treatments it does not work as fast as a drug. On the other hand, it is completely safe and there are no side effects besides being extremely effective for countless users.

Cancer prevention.

There has been a great deal of research on the effect astaxanthin has on various types of cancer cells. Although the studies have been carried out on rats and mice the results are very promising.

It has been proven to be very effective against urinary bladder cancer and colon cancer. The way it works is that it inhibits the start of cancer cells.

It also gives your immune system an enhancement by greatly increasing the number of antibodies and improving your resistance to colds.

Eyesight

Another study, highlighted in the Japanese Journal Medical Consultation & New Remedies, gave a daily dose of 6mg to 22 middle-aged and older people showing symptoms of presbyopia - a condition which causes the lens of the eye to lose the ability to focus (known as 'accommodation'). This makes short range vision hard.

The results showed a notable improvement in eye accommodation ability after astaxanthin supplementation over a 4-week term (Med Consult N Rem, 2009; 46: 89-93).

A separate study in Italy lasting a year that taking 4mg of astaxanthin daily alongside other carotenoids and antioxidants (180 mg of vitamin C, 30 mg of vitamin E, 22.5 mg of zinc, 1 mg of copper, 10 mg of lutein and 1 mg of zeaxanthin) resulted in better eyesight for patients with age-related macular degeneration (Ophthalmology, 2008; 115: 324-33.e2).

Skin Ageing and Wrinkles

Multiple research reports have shown that astaxanthin provides a natural barrier against the sun's harmful ultraviolet (UV) rays, the number one reason for premature skin aging. Another study reached the conclusion that astaxanthin may help fight against skin sagging and wrinkling (J Dermatol Sci, 2010; 58: 136-42).

More interestingly, clinical trials indicate that using astaxanthin can improve the overall condition and health of your skin. In a double-blind study, 16 women suffering from dried skin, aged around 40 years, were given either a placebo or a mix of 2mg of astaxanthin and 40 mg of tocotrienol (vitamin E). After just 2 weeks, the group who used the astaxanthin showed a number of improvements in their skin's condition, most notably fewer wrinkles, improved moisture and elasticity, a smoother surface, and less under-eye darkness and flabbiness. After 4 weeks the results improved further still, with various skin measurements providing a statistically significant change compared with the control group (Food Style 21, 2002; 6: 112-7).

Most recently a study with a bigger sample of women (49) tested the effects of astaxanthin alone in a 4mg daily dose. After just six weeks significant improvements were shown in the astaxanthin group in comparison to the control group using a placebo (Carotenoid Sci, 2006; 10: 91-5).

Getting Your Daily Fix

A standard and recommended the daily dose of astaxanthin is 2-4 mg/day. As it is fat-soluble it is absorbed by the body most effective when taken with a fat-containing meal (Biosci Biotechnol Biochem, 2009; 73: 1928-32). In general terms, it will go down best a dietary source of healthy fats, such as olive or flaxseed oil.

To date, no side effects have been recorded after using astaxanthin meaning it has a high safety profile. A human safety study concluded that 6 mg/day of astaxanthin extracted from Haematococcus Pluvialis is safe for healthy adults (J Med Food, 2003; 6: 51-6).

13 Incredible Beautiful Skin Tips Transformations

Your skin is the largest organ in your body. It helps to keep the good parts in and the bad elements out. Despite being the first line of defense for your body, the skin itself is actually pretty fragile. As you age, your skin starts to lose its elasticity, and wrinkles develop. These wrinkles are one of the leading reasons why you might appear older. Thus, the best skin care tips to keep you looking young involve protecting your skin and keeping wrinkles away.

Sun protection

Of all the beauty skin care tips for staying young, one of the most important involves using sun protection. Ideally, you should stay out of the sun as much as possible - this includes tanning. If you cannot avoid going out, make sure that you wear plenty of sunscreens. Many beauty skin care products are now starting to include minimal sun protection elements in them to make this easier.

Use soap with lower pH

The second free beauty skin care tip you can do is to use soap that has a lower pH value and alkali level. This method can easily be done since you will take your bath anyway every morning and before you go to sleep at night. If you are taking a bath using a shower, it is best to apply soap to your body not more than five minutes. Your skin will lose its moisture if you are taking a long bath.

Exercise and relax

You might not think of exercise as a skin care beauty tip, but regularly exercising the muscles of your face has the same effect as regularly exercising the other muscles of your body - it helps to keep them limber and toned. Strong facial muscles will help to reduce the look of lines and wrinkles. By the same token, you should also relax the muscles of your face several times a day. If you spend a lot of time frowning, for example, you will start to develop frown lines along the muscles in your forehead. Squinting your eyes is one of the leading causes of crow's feet.

Seek some advice

Visit a dermatologist to get advice about your tone and the cleaning products you need to use. Get a facial cleaner and use a soft clean cloth in the morning and in the evening. In addition, you have to check the makeup products you use during the day. Young people have very fair faces and there is no need to apply a lot of makeup. You only need the right moisturizer, toner and lip balm. Most of the moisturizers have a sunscreen to protect your face from the harmful rays of the sun.

Keep your hands away!

Many people have the bad habit of rubbing their eyes or sitting with their face in their hands. If you are one of them, stop now! This beauty skin care tip will help you to avoid pushing your skin out of its natural position, which stretches the skin and can lead to sagging and wrinkles later on.

Eat healthily and maintain a stable weight

Eating healthy is a great beauty skin care tip for several reasons. First, eating healthily helps to make sure that you get all of the nutrients that your skin needs to stay young and healthy. Avoiding high-fat foods will also help to keep you appearing young. Plus, eating healthy means that you will stay at a stable weight - rapid weight gain or weight loss can cause the skin to become overstretched, making it difficult to bounce back and causing wrinkles.

Moisturize!

Healthy skin needs moisture to stay supple and prevent wrinkles, so a fifth beauty skin care tip is to make sure that you use your moisturizer regularly. When you put on moisturizer, always stroke upward and avoid tugging at the eye area. This will help you to avoid damage and keep your skin looking tight and young.

Massage

Another beautiful skin secret that you will enjoy is simply giving yourself an occasional facial massage. It only takes a few minutes to gently massage any oil-based facial serum into your cheeks, forehead, and around your eyes. Effective blood circulation is important to your skin as it carries oxygen and other nutrients to its cells, so enjoy the feeling and the benefits that a simple 5-minute facial massage can provide you.

Avoid alcohol and cigarettes

Smoking reduces blood flow, and a reduction of blood flow equals a reduction in nutrients that skin needs. Oxygen is also necessary for the skin and other organs to function properly. Alcohol can dehydrate you, which in turn can have severe effects on your skin. Plus, this beauty skin care tip will have far-reaching effects on your overall health.

Drink water

This is probably the single most important thing you can do for the health of your skin. Although it's important to drink water, it doesn't mean you have to drink endless glasses of the wet stuff. The recommended amount is between 8 and 12 glasses a day. That seems like a lot to drink and it may not always be possible.

You can replace at least some of your water consumption by eating foods with high water content. Certain foods contain a lot of water, naturally. Many raw vegetables and most fruits are high in water content. Needless to say, these kinds of foods are good for you too. So supplement your water drinking with these types of foods for overall health benefits.

Wash that face

The first free beauty skin care tip that you must know is that the level of your beauty starts from the within. The normal way that you probably do right now is to wash your face with some beauty cleansing foam and apply a toner to your face to reduce pore. What you do for extra is take some kind of beauty pills product that can produce more nutrient to your skin from the inside. This can actually help you in the long run.

Use of brush or sponge

Next free beauty skin care tip is to use a brush or sponge when taking a bath. When you use a brush, it will make your blood flow more efficiently and more nutrient will spread to your skin. After doing this for 3 minutes, you will be surprised to feel that you are more energetic as if you are doing some exercise. This brushing exercise will remove dead skin cell and replace it with a new skin cell naturally.

Get some rest

Finally, think about beauty skin tips that will maintain your overall youthfulness. These are in relation to the amount of baggage you store in your head. In other words, get rid of the stress because its effect will show on the face. You can seek help if you need some issues to have enough sleep. To cap it all, you need to engage in activities that will help you relax and feel at peace in order to rejuvenate your body. For instance, get a spa treatment once in a while.

Keeping your skin young is all about keeping your skin healthy. The more you do, the better your skin will feel.

7 Romantic Vitamins To Improve Skin Elasticity Ideas

You need the different kinds of vitamins for healthy skin, as well as other nutrients, like protein and essential fatty acids. If your skin's health is a cause of concern right now, you may notice that your hair and nails are not in the best condition, either.

The health of the skin, hair, and nails are closely related. Here's a look at some of the nutrients that may be missing in your diet and causing your problems.

Vitamin A, C, and E
These common antioxidants are found in many fruits and vegetables, but studies have shown that the nutrient content of fruits and vegetables is much lower today than it was just 50 years ago. That is due, primarily, to over-farming.

Low blood levels of vitamin A and E almost always accompany new cases of acne. Vitamin C is a necessary co-factor for the formation of strong collagen fibers, responsible for the skin's strength and elasticity. As antioxidants, all three help to counter the effect that damaging free radicals have on the skin's health. Free radicals are also one of the causes of wrinkles, sagging and all of the signs of aging.

In addition to taking these vitamins for healthy skin, you might also consider the use of an antioxidant-rich cream. One that contains coenzyme Q10 is the best choice. Creams containing high concentrations of vitamin A or C can cause redness, dryness, and irritation. Coenzyme Q10 is not irritating and has been shown to reduce wrinkles and repair sun damage.

B-complex
The B-complex group performs many functions relevant to the skin's health and appearance. Folic acid is effective for relieving dermatitis. Vitamin B-5 supports the skin's natural tanning ability. The entire B-complex group works to soothe inflammation when applied directly.

A kind of sea algae called wakame kelp contains many of the vitamins for healthy skin, as well as the minerals calcium, potassium, and sodium. Those minerals help balance the skin's moisture content. Kelp is a popular health food and is found in some of the better anti-aging creams because it is proving to increase elasticity and relieve dryness.

Omega3 Fatty Acids
Omega-3 fatty acids are essential to the human diet and most people don't get enough of them. These days, they are found primarily in fish. At one time, they were present in chicken, beef and other meats, but when ranchers started feeding these animals grain, instead of grass, the omega3 content plummeted and the omega6 content skyrocketed.

In addition to taking vitamins for healthy skin, you should really consider an omega3 fish oil supplement. Studies have shown that it is beneficial in acne, psoriasis, and eczema. It has also been shown to increase the skin's firmness.

Vitamin B
Niacinamide is part of the group B of vitamins and is also sometimes called vitamin B3. Vitamin B3 also exists in another widespread form called niacin which is converted to niacinamide inside the body. Both forms of vitamin B3 essentially have the same benefits but niacin is well known for inducing unpleasant but harmless side effects such as flushing and warming of the skin. To avoid these, most skin care products are formulated with niacinamide which provides the same skin benefits but none of the side effects. The main function of niacinamide inside the body is to be a precursor of the coenzymes NAD and NADP. A precursor simply means a building block that the body utilizes to make other, usually larger and more useful compounds. NAD stands for Nicotinamide Adenine Dinucleotide and is an extremely important coenzyme in all living cells and, like its close relative NADP, is involved in essential cellular functions.

Protein
Protein is the building block necessary to make new skin cells and fibers. Keratin is the most abundant protein in the skin's epidermis. Keratin-rich creams have been shown to stimulate the production of new cells and fibers, improve the skin's moisture content and reduce inflammation.

Vitamin D
Vitamin D is an antioxidant that may play a role in skin pigmentation. It helps in retaining the clear skin with no blemishes. It gives the skin an equal tone. The food that provides vitamin D involve Fatty fish, like tuna, mackerel, and salmon; Foods fortified with vitamin D, like some dairy products, orange juice, soy milk, and cereals; Beef liver; Cheese;
Egg yolks.

To sum it up; you can take vitamins for healthy skin, but if you really want to see a major improvement in your skin's appearance, use a nutrient-rich cream that contains them, too.
